Wurklynk Terms and Conditions
- Effective date
- 15 October 2026
These Terms govern your use of Wurklynk, a marketplace operated by Wurklynk Limited, registered in Nigeria under CAC RC 9875659. Our registered office is 1/022, Sam Ewang Estate, Abiola Way, Abeokuta, Ogun State, Nigeria. Our finance team handles support, complaints, refunds, privacy requests and reviews at support@wurklynk.com. Send legal notices to info@wurklynk.com.
Read these Terms and the Wurklynk Privacy Policy before completing Account setup. You agree to these Terms through the agreement requested during setup. The Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data. Accepting these Terms does not provide blanket consent to identity checks, optional marketing or optional analytics.
Features may be introduced in stages. The availability notice below and the specific payment review identify whether this environment uses Live payments, Test payments or no marketplace payments. A preview, demonstration or sandbox record does not prove that identity has been checked or that real money has been received, held or paid.
Payment availability and attachment guidance clarified 16 October 2026. This clarification reflects the enabled workflow and preserves accepted funding terms.
1 Eligibility Accounts and roles
You must be at least 18 years old and have legal capacity to use the marketplace. A parent or guardian cannot create an exception to this Account age limit. If you act for an organisation, you must have authority to commit it to the arrangements you make.
Provide accurate information, keep it up to date and protect your sign-in details. One Account may use the Freelancer role, the Employer role, or both. Choose the role that matches the action you are taking. Do not impersonate another person or create misleading identities.
Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use of your Account. You are responsible for actions you authorise; these Terms do not make you automatically liable for every unauthorised action regardless of the circumstances.
2 Wurklynk and the participants
Employers describe paid work and Freelancers offer to perform it. Wurklynk provides the marketplace and the supported tools for arranging that Work. It does not supervise how each Freelancer performs Work or guarantee that a Job, Bid or Service will produce a particular outcome.
The Work arrangement is between its Employer and Freelancer. They must assess suitability, agree the scope and deliverables, and meet applicable responsibilities for safety, licences, insurance, taxes and other legal obligations. A participant's legal employment or contractor status depends on the law and the actual arrangement; a platform label does not decide it.
3 Verification and published information
The available Nigerian Freelancer identity check uses Basic NIN, provided by Verify Me Nigeria Limited (VerifyMe, RC 1097831), through QoreID. It checks the submitted NIN against the returned record, matches your saved legal name, and establishes adult eligibility. One NIN may verify only one profile. Once linked through successful verification, that NIN cannot verify another Account, including after the original verification is removed or the Account is closed. Address matching is informational; an address mismatch does not prevent automatic approval. A completed, verified response with the required name match and confirmed adult eligibility can be approved automatically; inconclusive identity or adult-eligibility results can enter recorded Staff review. We do not charge an Account fee for this check. Employer Accounts do not currently require a Wurklynk NIN check. Some Freelancer actions may be available before Verification; a published profile or an available action does not establish that its owner is verified. The separate collection notice and prior authorisation required for an identity check are distinct from accepting these Terms.
Verification is a limited identity and adult-eligibility check. It does not certify professional qualifications, Work-sample authorship, reliability, safety or Work quality. Claims about experience or qualifications remain the participant's responsibility.
Freelancers choose whether to publish a Public profile, Services and Work samples. A published Service has a Starting price that can inform a Direct Offer; it is not an instant order or a guaranteed final quote. Do not include private contact details in public content or evade the pre-Work contact restrictions.
4 Jobs Bids and Work formation
An Employer must describe the Job, scope, location, budget and expectations honestly. A Freelancer must send a Bid they can reasonably perform and must not misrepresent their skills, price or availability. Each Bid is private to its Freelancer and the Employer responsible for the Job.
Work forms on Wurklynk through Selection of a Bid or Acceptance of a Direct Offer when both participants meet the eligibility requirements for the action. When marketplace payments are enabled, Work that requires funding also needs the external payment or custody partner to confirm a Payment Guarantee for the complete agreed NGN price before funding is treated as complete. A Wallet display, payment attempt or browser return is not that confirmation. When marketplace payments are unavailable, protected paid Work cannot form through the funded Selection or Acceptance flow.
Selection records the chosen Bid. Acceptance records the Freelancer's agreement to a Direct Offer. The recorded terms identify the participants, scope, agreed price and timing for their Work. Starting a Conversation or browsing a Service does not itself form Work.
5 Services and Direct Offers
An Employer may begin a Direct Offer from a Public profile or Service. The Employer reviews the scope, total NGN price, delivery timing, location and required information before sending it. When marketplace payments are enabled, the Employer funds the offer before or as part of sending it, and the Freelancer must accept the funded offer before Work forms. When marketplace payments are unavailable, a funded Direct Offer cannot be sent or accepted through that flow.
A sent Direct Offer has fixed terms and expires after seven calendar days unless accepted earlier. Before Acceptance, the Freelancer may decline and the Employer may withdraw it. Changed terms require a replacement offer. A Service edit or later unpublication does not rewrite an offer that has already been funded and sent.
After Work forms, proposed changes and cancellations must be recorded through the supported agreement or dispute process so that the outcome is clear. When marketplace payments are enabled, neither participant may bypass payment protection or the other participant's legal rights. Mandatory rights to cancel and obtain an appropriate refund remain available even where the other participant does not agree.
6 Payments fees and payment protection
Marketplace payments are available only where the application explicitly enables them and shows the applicable payment partner terms. Live Payluk transactions use real money; Test transactions do not. When payments are unavailable, you cannot create a protected funded hire or funded Direct Offer. A browser return or payment intent alone is not proof that funds are held.
Before you confirm funding, we disclose the payment partner, where funds are held, the Work price and fees, the delivery and review window, refund routes and the bank-withdrawal requirements. The separate withdrawal quote shows the actual bank transfer fee before you confirm that transfer. For new V1 Work, the Employer completion fee is 0% and the Freelancer completion fee is 5% of the agreed Work price, including the provider escrow cost. The specific funding agreement records the applicable escrow, release and refund terms. Saved earlier quotes and accepted funding terms keep their recorded amounts and conditions; later guidance does not rewrite them.
An arrangement to pay outside Wurklynk is outside its Payment Guarantee. That does not remove any legal claim or statutory remedy you otherwise have. A released payment reaches the Freelancer Wallet before a separate bank withdrawal. The minimum bank amount is ₦1,000; available Wallet funds must also cover the transfer fee shown in its quote. Review the fees and timing guide before committing to paid Work.
7 Conversations contact details and safety
Use your Wurklynk Conversation to coordinate Work. Private contact details stay masked until payment is confirmed. After payment, you may choose to share your own contact details in the Conversation. Wurklynk does not automatically share profile phone numbers with the other participant. Respect the other person's privacy.
Where the composer permits them, participants may exchange the allowed file types in eligible Job and Direct Offer Conversations before or after Work forms. Blocks, closed or read-only contexts, file limits and server safety checks still apply; Service-order attachments are not available through this flow. Before payment confirmation, do not share contact details in captions, filenames or file contents. Masking and technical file checks do not establish that every image or document is safe, accurate or free of contact details. Do not distribute malware, bypass restrictions or expose private information. A Messaging block does not cancel active Work or decide a payment dispute.
Report suspected abuse or unsafe activity through the available reporting tools or support@wurklynk.com. Wurklynk is not an emergency service. Take sensible safety precautions before meeting, travelling or beginning Work, and use the appropriate emergency service when necessary.
8 Content and intellectual property
You must own or have the necessary permission to publish content and Work samples. Where content identifies other people, you must have a lawful basis to share it. A Work sample remains an Unverified claim about previous work even if its file has passed technical checks.
You retain your rights in content you supply. You permit Wurklynk to store, process and display it as needed to provide the requested service, including technical conversion and safety review. This permission does not authorise unrelated commercial use. Removing content may remain subject to a relevant complaint or lawful retention requirement.
The Employer and Freelancer should agree ownership or licensing of deliverables before Work begins. These Terms do not automatically transfer every intellectual-property right merely because an offer is sent or a price is displayed.
9 Fair use and account restrictions
You must not use Wurklynk for illegal, unsafe, deceptive or discriminatory work; harassment, threats, exploitation, impersonation or fraud; unauthorised sharing of private information; unauthorised access; spam or malware; or manipulation of Verification, Bids, reviews or marketplace activity.
We may remove content or restrict an Account where reasonably necessary to investigate abuse, meet a legal requirement or protect people or the service. Where permitted, we will explain the reason and how to challenge the decision through support@wurklynk.com. Urgent protective action may occur before notice; it does not automatically erase existing Work, payment obligations or legal rights.
10 Additional features
If Learning, Events, reviews or referrals are available, their stated eligibility and terms apply in addition to these Terms. Course progress or a Ticket does not imply a recognised qualification, employment opportunity or guaranteed outcome. A referral does not promise money, discounts or Wallet credit unless an explicit offer says so.
A paid course or Event will require clear price, provider, cancellation and payment terms before purchase. A disabled or demonstration payment flow cannot reserve a paid place or promise a live refund. Organisers and course providers must accurately describe what they offer and any access conditions.
11 Complaints disputes and responsibility
Raise concerns promptly with the other participant where appropriate and contact support@wurklynk.com for marketplace support. Keep the relevant Work or payment reference and information needed to explain the issue; do not email identity evidence or complete payment credentials.
Either participant may raise a marketplace dispute with our finance team. We aim to acknowledge a complaint within two working days, allow five working days for a response and relevant evidence, and decide within ten working days once the necessary information is available. A missed response target does not automatically forfeit a participant's rights. We give each participant an opportunity to respond to material evidence, explain our decision and give weekly updates if it is delayed. Either participant may request review by another finance-team reviewer within five working days of the decision. We seek to keep payment paused through that period and any timely review under the supported provider process, and explain any limit before funding. Available outcomes include release, refund or an agreed or justified split. An already settled provider escrow cannot be reopened through its dispute flow; we will still handle the complaint and applicable legal remedies. A marketplace decision does not replace a court judgment or remove access to a competent regulator or court.
Wurklynk remains responsible for its own obligations under applicable law. Verification and payment protection do not guarantee Work quality or eliminate all risks. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, authorises an unfair contract term, or removes mandatory consumer or data-protection rights.
12 Closing an Account and changes to these Terms
You may request Account closure through support@wurklynk.com. Closure does not automatically cancel existing Work, erase a payment or dispute record, or remove a legal obligation. The Privacy Policy explains retention and data requests.
We normally give at least 30 days' notice of material changes and show when revised Terms take effect. An urgent legal or security requirement may justify shorter notice, with an explanation. Changes do not retrospectively rewrite agreed Work or accrued rights without a lawful basis. Where fresh agreement is needed, we request it. If you do not agree, you may stop using the affected service while existing obligations are resolved.
13 Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. The courts of Nigeria with jurisdiction may hear contractual disputes on a non-exclusive basis. This does not restrict any mandatory right to bring a claim or complaint in another competent forum. No contractual complaint step prevents exercise of a statutory remedy. Contact our finance team at support@wurklynk.com for support, complaints, refunds, privacy requests and reviews. Legal notices go to info@wurklynk.com or the registered office stated above.
